With the renovation of the Highlands Cove course and clubhouse and its reopening as the Old Edwards Club at Highlands Cove, the good life is getting even better in the Highlands/Cashiers region. Purchased by the Old Edwards Inn and Spa, the course and clubhouse are getting thoroughly improved - among the many changes are a swimming pool, updated tennis courts, and a restaurant elevated to the same standards of dining and culinary excellence that the Inn & Spa has always upheld.
As for the course, which was designed and built by Tom Jackson in 2000, it's getting a better driving range, larger tees and greens, laser-leveled tees, and many more improvements that are sure to wow old fans and attract new ones. Blessed with awe-inspiring mountain views and designed with the area's natural topography in mind, the par 71 golf course has been a regional favorite from the start.
The Old Edwards Club at Highlands Cove will have limited invitation-only memberships, ensuring that each member can enjoy the course to the full. The membership includes access to the Old Edwards Inn's amenities such as the spa, heated pool and gym. The Old Edwards Inn and Spa is an AAA-Four Diamond Resort and was named Conde Nast Johansens Most Excellent Inn in the USA and Canada for 2008.
